“Respect others, and you will be respected.”
A famous proverb passed down from ancient time goes like “Respect others, and you will be respected.” Simple as the saying is, its meaning is profound and thought-provoking, which is meant to illustrates us the importance of respecting others.
From my perspective, everyone is supposed to respect others no matter who you are. First and foremost, all men are born to be equal. Regardless of one’s appearance, financial conditions and social status, he has the right to be respected. Secondly,respecting others, as a good virtue, is significant to an individual. To put it in another way, if you are a person with good virtue, there is no doubt that others will respect you more. However, if we fail to realize the importance of respecting others, it will have a negative impact on our life and future.
In conclusion, respecting each other plays an extremely important part in a healthy society. We cannot live freely and comfortably without others’ respects and esteem. I firmly believe that we young adults should respect others in our daily life.
