For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay commentingon the saying “Respect others, and you will be respected.” You can citeexamples to illustrate your views. You should write at least 150 words but nomore than 200 words.
The quotation, simply illustrated yet profoundly meaningful, triesto convey that respect is a precious quality that needs to be acknowledged andencouraged by all of us. What is true understanding of respect? It is listeningwithout judgement, getting to know people with as few assumptions as possible.
From where I am standing, we can easily identify the significance ofrespect from the following perspective. To begin with, as an ancient virtue,respect is not a recent conception and has been adored and honored by ourancestors. Still, respect is deemed as a crucial feature in the new millennium,considering the benefits it brings about.
“Respect others, and you will be respected.” I learned it the hardway during an impromptu speech contest. When other teachers were astonished bymy huge mistake, Miss Connie, my dearest teacher said to me, "please havefaith in yourself, it may even be a silver lining." My gaze followed herfinger which was pointed towards the hot beverage she put on the table for me.One has to be respectful of other people in order to win respect. Her respectgranted me immeasurable strength, and thus in turn, she has won my respect eversince.
