四六级考试常见词汇整理 词汇测试题型分析

  词汇题主要测试应试者对大纲词汇和短语的词义、用法和搭配的辨认和运用能力。测试的重点主要有:
  一、动词短语和介词短语的搭配和辨义
  二、近义词辨异
  三、形近词辨义
  四、单词辨义
  五、固定搭配关系:如动词和名词、名词与形容词、动词、名词、形容词与介词或副词之间的搭配。

  1.Example
  a.Select any of these periodicals: Time, Newsweek, Reader’s Digest or The New Yorker.

  2.Comparison
  a.The snow was falling. Big flakes drifted with wind like feathers.
  3.Contrast
  a.Most of us agreed, however, Bill dissented.

  4.Definition
  a.The harbor is protected by a jetty―a wall built out into the water.
  b.Jane is indecisive, that is , she can’t make up her mind.
  5.Restatement

  6.General Knowledge

  postpone是正式用语, 语义较强, 指“有意识地延至将来某一特定时间”, 在多数情况下, 后面说明改在何时进行, 如: The meeting has been postponed to Friday.
  put off与postpone大致同义, 但较通俗口语化, 如: Let's put this off till some other time.

  silly 强调“单纯、糊涂、低能的”, 如:
  I can't stand her giggling, she's so silly.
  ridiculous 意为“荒谬的”、“令人发笑的”, 常会有“鄙视”之意, 如:
  How ridiculous!
  Logical, rational, reasonable, sensible
